Sonja Kabicher-Fuchs works as product owner at a well-known property management institution. At the University of Vienna, Sonja is lector of courses of the Faculty of Computer Science since 2009.

Before Sonja took the role of the product owner, she worked as managing director - head of research at a research and consulting company. Before that, she was researcher in the research group Workflow Systems and Technology (WST) at the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. Sonja's areas of research were in general business process management and human orientation/human factors in Process-Aware Information Systems (PAIS).

The research of the research group Workflow Systems and Technology (WST) is centered in the area of business process management and workflow systems. The research group has an excellent scientific track record.

Before Sonja joined the research group Workflow Systems and Technology (WST) at the University of Vienna, she worked as researcher at the Research Lab for Educational Technologies, University of Vienna.  Her research was in the field of educational technologies in higher education and technology-enhanced learning.

Sonja studied business informatics at the University of Vienna and graduated with a bachelor degree (Bakk.rer.soc.oec) in 2004, with a master degree (Mag.rer.soc.oec.) in 2006 with distinction and with a doctorate degree (Dr.rer.soc.oec) in 2010 with distinction. During her work and PhD research she published several papers in international conference proceedings, journals and books. Her main research-, teaching-, and community activities are listed below.
